Aurora Police Search For Smash & Grab Burglars

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora are searching for three burglars wanted for stealing cash from a restaurant-- and smashing the security camera in the process.

The surveillance video is from a Texas Roadhouse restaurant located at 14200 East Iliff Ave. It shows the men stealing cash and then one of the thieves notices the surveillance camera.

He walks right up to it and smashes it with some kind of tool.

The men burglarized the restaurant on April 4 about 3 a.m.

Police said the images on the surveillance video are very clear and hope someone recognizes the men.

One of the men has a cross-shaped earring in his left ear and appears to have a tattoo on his right arm.

The man who smashed the camera has a scar on his nose and a scar on his right eyebrow.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Agent Brunick with the District 3 Detective Unit at (303) 627-3251 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
