Police Search For Street Robbery Suspect

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver are searching for a man wanted in a street robbery that happened in the parking lot of a King Soopers.

The robbery happened in the parking lot of the King Soopers located at 2810 N. Quebec Street on March 31 between 11:10 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.

The suspect is observed on video walking into the King Sooper store, looking around and then waiting by the front of the store for the victim to come out.

The suspect originally asked the victim for a "light" and after the victim said he didn't have one, the victim walked to his car where the suspect ran up behind the victim and pushed him into the car at gunpoint. That's when the suspect demanded property from the victim.

The suspect used a revolver during the robbery. That robbery was interrupted by a woman in the car next to the victim's. She told police she heard a commotion as she waited in her car and asked what was going on. The suspect then ran away from the parking lot.
