When Woody Simes Learned the back window of his van had been shot out by what looks like a BB gun his only question was why.

"Now I am going to have to tape it. I just don't know what's so fun about shooting somebody's car," said Simes.

His is just one of at least 30 vehicles hit by vandals.

Denver police say damage reports started flowing in on Saturday morning from different areas of town.

Investigators can't say for sure if they're all connected but did say Simes' neighborhood on Steele Street near 7th Avenue was one of the hardest hit.

"I'm shocked. I mean why," said Simes.

Across town on Avondale Drive near West Colfax Avenue at least a dozen more car owners woke up to the same thing.

"I got hit twice here and then they hit my car," said victim Courtney Jayroe.

Jayroe says besides having to clean up the mess of broken glass left behind, getting the windows fixed will be an even bigger hassle.

"Just costing people time and money," said Jayroe.

Neighbors are so frustrated they posted a message to the culprits informing them of the seriousness of the situation and alerting them to the fact that police reports have been filed.

Police are looking into if all the cases are connected.
