Students Re-Enact Revolutionary War Battle
LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) – About 600 students headed to Chatfield Reservoir on Friday to re-enact the Battle of Brandywine in the Revolutionary War.
The students were from the fourth and fifth grades.
A group called "You Can Live History" runs the program, saying kids can learn more about history by participation than just reading about it.
The battle was Sept. 11, 1777, in what is now Pennsylvania where British forces defeated the Americans.
