GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) – Hundreds of teachers rallied outside a Jefferson County School Board meeting on Monday.
The Jefferson County School Board is in their fourth session of public bargaining with teachers.
The teachers contract with the district expires next year. They say they don’t see eye to eye with the school board on things like pay raises for teachers, charter school funding and classroom needs.
Most recently Superintendent Cindy Stevenson resigned for similar reasons.
Teachers say they will likely reach an impasse and have to go to mediation.
