Toddler Falls From 3rd Floor Balcony In Northglenn
NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4)– A toddler is expected to recover after falling 20 from a third-floor balcony onto a concrete patio in Northglenn Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the Webster Lake Apartments located at 11701 Washington in Northglenn just before 12:30 p.m. on reports of a child that fell from a balcony.
When they arrived officers and paramedics from the North Metro Fire Department found the 2-year-old boy outside Building 9 and rushed him to Children’s Hospital. He was initially unconscious but regained consciousness.
Police said the boy was conscious, alert and talking at the hospital, he also was asking for his parents.
The preliminary investigation suggests the boy may have sneaked out onto the balcony where he climbed onto the railing and fell onto the concrete patio approximately 20 feet below.
“It looks like it’s about a 20 to 21 foot fall, so I’d say he’s a pretty lucky kid,” said Northglenn Police Sgt. Ian Lopez.
Police said no charges have been filed.
