Check Out The New Rooftop Patio Bar At Coors Field

DENVER (CBS4) – Fans returning to Coors Field this year will notice that the right field upper deck is gone and in its place it the brand new roof top patio bar.

Sporting beers, burgers and seats in the cabana, the Rockies Roof Top is the new hot spot in Denver.

"On a nice Colorado night it's going to be a nice place to be," said Rockies owner Dick Monfort.

From the former right field upper deck the mountains and the Denver skyline are laid out right in front of fans.

"The views are incredible," said Monfort.

After years of tough to fill seats staying empty, Monfort says the popular Denver rooftop bar scene inspired the change.

"We're going to try to make it sort of an exciting place to be that young adults want to be," he said.

In the new 38,000 square foot bi-level rooftop patio fans can chow down on burgers, milkshakes and fries.

They can also walk up to the 52-foot-80-inch bar with 20 Colorado beers on tap or grab a cocktail at two Mile High bars.

Fans don't have to worry about missing any of the action because there are television monitors everywhere.

The space is also welcome to non-baseball fans as well.

"I think a lot of them probably won't be watching the game but I think they'll have fun and hopefully they'll become a baseball fan," said Monfort.

Regular game tickets get fans into the patio but patio only tickets are also available.
