Lakewood Police Investigate RTD Bus Vs. Pedestrian Accident
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Lakewood investigated an accident where an RTD bus struck a pedestrian on Thursday night.
Officers rushed to Colfax and Tabor about 8:25 p.m. Their investigation found that a pedestrian jaywalked in front of the bus and the bus driver slammed on the brakes but hit the man.
He did get up after being struck but was transported to the hospital to be checked out.
Another ambulance rushed to the scene to help a passenger on board the bus who was having issues with nerves after the accident.
The bus driver was cooperating with the police investigation and will not be cited since the pedestrian was at fault.
