Denver Police Search For Man Who Assaulted Woman In South Denver

DENVER (CBS4) – Denver police would like the public's help finding an assault suspect.

According to police, at approximately 1:55 a.m. Thursday a woman walking in the 2000 block of South Columbine Street was approached from behind by a man who then "bumped and then subjected (her) to unwanted physical contact."

"The victim briefly struggled with the suspect and ran away. The suspect was last observed running southbound on Columbine Street," police said in a statement.

The suspect is described as possibly Middle Eastern, early 20s, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7. He was wearing a dark color hooded jacket.
