Police: Colorado Fugitive Kills Girlfriend, Self, After Oklahoma Chase

TULSA, Okla. (CBS4) - Police say a fugitive from Colorado Springs killed his girlfriend in Tulsa before turning the gun on himself.

Police say Roy Hanthorn, 36, stole a vehicle on Tuesday before leading officers on a chase.

Hanthorn and his girlfriend, Rhiannon Vantassel, got out of that vehicle and carjacked a woman in a white Honda.

That woman was not hurt.

The chase ended after Hanthorn shot his girlfriend and then himself.

Hanthorn was taken to the hospital and later died.

According to police, no officers fired their weapons.
