CU Alum & Astronaut Steve Swanson Heading To Space Station

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – University of Colorado Boulder alumnus and NASA astronaut Steve Swanson is heading to space.

Making his third flight, Swanson will blast off for the International Space Station along with two others in Kazakhstan.

The launch is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. mountain time.

The astronaut crew will be involved in dozens of research experiments.

Swanson is scheduled to return to Earth in September.
