Carjacking, Robbery Suspect In Custody

AURORA, Colo, (CBS4) – Aurora Police have located and taken into custody the suspect they believe to be involved in a carjacking and multiple robberies.

Police say a carjacking took place in Denver Thursday evening at a Safeway store located at 26th Avenue and Federal Boulevard.

That vehicle, a 2011 Black Honda CRV, was then reportedly used in two 7-Eleven store robberies in Aurora over the next two days.

Police say the vehicle was also used in an attempted kidnapping Saturday morning.

Surveillance cameras in both 7-Eleven stores captured video of the suspect.

Aurora Police located and stopped the vehicle on E-470 at Gartell Road Saturday night and the suspect was taken into custody.

Police have not released the identity of the suspect.
