Fire Destroys Home Near Elizabeth

ELIZABETH, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters were on the scene of a fire that destroyed a home Wednesday afternoon.

Nobody in the family of five who live in the house was home at the time.

The flames also started a brush fire around the home. It took about two dozen firefighters about 1 ½ hours to get it under control.

The house was a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
