1 Killed In Single-Engine Plane Crash In Northern Douglas County
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – One person has died after a small plane crashed in Northern Douglas County Wednesday evening.
The plane crashed near Otero Street and Smokey Hill Road. The plane caught fire when it crashed and also started a 2-acre brush fire.
Only the tail of remained after firefighters put out the fire.
The plane was registered to a California company. It was a fixed-wing, twin engine plane able to carry three people.
A homeowner who lives nearby told CBS4 the plane was flying "out of control."
