Family Of Evergreen Baby Bitten By Dog Says Thanks

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - The family of a baby who is in critical condition at Children's Hospital after getting bitten by a dog in Evergreen says the boy's condition is stable.

The family asked for privacy, and thanked the emergency workers who responded on Tuesday after the dog bit the 1-year-old at a home located in the 4700 block of Pine Road.

The dog is an American bulldog and is under quarantine at Foothills Animal Shelter.

The family's complete statement is as follows:

Our family would like to praise God for the many miracles already at work in our baby's life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the Evergreen Fire Department, the responding officers and the Flight for Life crew. At this time, our son is in critical but stable condition receiving the very best care at Children's Hospital. We send our deepest thanks to our friends, family and the community for the outpouring of prayers and support. We kindly ask that the public respect our privacy during this crucial time of recovery.
