Search On For Sex Offender Who Has Been Evading Police

DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver would like the public's help locating a registered sex offender who is wanted in connection with another recent sexual assault on a child.

According to police, Bronson Terrence McDowell, 43, is wanted by police for a 2014 sexual assault on a child.

"He has been evading law enforcement for over a week at this point," police said in a statement.

Police also say McDowell is registered as a sex offender from a sex assault on a child case that occurred in 1994 in Arapahoe County. He's also registered as a transient person with the Aurora Police Department.

"McDowell also is required to receive medical attention for kidney disease and regularly visits programs that provide medical treatment for the homeless," police said. "There is reason to believe there are additional victims who have not yet come forward."

McDowell is described as a 5-foot-5 black man and weighs about 170 pounds.
