Police ID Suspect In Burglaries Of Waldo Canyon Fire Victims

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – DNA evidence led to a man accused of breaking into homes of people evacuated during the Waldo Canyon Fire.

The massive fire in June of 2012 destroyed 347 homes near Colorado Springs.

Police recovered empty soda and beer bottles at one of the homes that was broken in to. Investigators say DNA found on those items were later matched to Graylon Thomas.

Thomas was in jail at the time in Pueblo County for another case and is now being held on the burglary charge as well.
