Double Murder Suspect Killed Himself After Standoff

Frederick, Colo. (CBS4) - An autopsy confirmed the man from Frederick suspected of killing his wife and her mother shot himself to death after a standoff with police on Friday.

Cimmeron Johns is suspected of killing his wife Alisha Johns and her mother Sherri Pachello.

Two weeks ago police went to the family home in Frederick after Alisha said she had been beaten by her husband. Officers allegedly pleaded with her to cooperate so they could arrest Johns. She told a nurse that her husband had punched and chocked her at their home.

In a phone call with police Cimmeron Johns denied his wife's claim.

"I don't know who could have done this, but after she abandoned us and we were living our life to come and throw these charges and have this going on is just wrong," Johns told police.

Police indicated Alisha Johns' eyes were filled with blood with bruising on her neck, arms and shoulders. Frederick police officers attempted by phone to get the husband to surrender.

"I don't' know how long I'm going to be sitting in jail. I don't know what's going to happen to my children in that time. I don't know if I am going to see them again," he said.

Two weeks later Alisha Johns and her mother were found dead in Weld County. Cimmeron Johns then took his own life by shooting himself in the chest after being confronted by police His father told CBS4 that before the suicide Cimmeron Jjohns called one of his children saying, "I'm surrounded by police. Good bye."
