US 550 Could Completely Reopen On Monday
RED MOUNTAIN PASS, Colo. (CBS4) – US 550 could completely reopen at Red Mountain Pass as soon as Monday.
The highway was first shut down in January because of a rock slide.
It has been open to traffic only twice a day since Jan. 31 because crews have been working to install netting to prevent another rock slide.
Weather has been slowing down the installation but the Colorado Department of Transportation thinks the road could reopen to traffic full time on Monday or Tuesday.
