Investigators Still Waiting To Get Into Lakewood Home After Fire

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Investigators in Lakewood are still waiting to get into a home to see what started a fire.

Firefighters spent more than eight hours knocking the fire down in Thursday's frigid conditions.

The amount of items stored in the basement also complicated things as they continued to burn.

Two people were home at the time of the fire, but were uninjured.

The home is located on West Alaska Place and the man who reported the fire told dispatchers he believed his furnace was on fire.
