Firefighters Will Likely Work Lakewood House Fire All Night
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Smoke filled the sky after a fire at a home in Lakewood Thursday afternoon.
Copter4 was overhead at a home on West Alaska Place as it burned. Firefighters said they will likely be working the fire overnight since the residents had a lot of items in the basement that has kept burning.
The extremely cold conditions were also hampering firefighting efforts.
Two people were home at the time of the fire, but were uninjured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but firefighters don't believe it's suspicious.
