High School Teammate Says Seeing Manning's Fame Is 'Surreal'

NEW YORK (CBS4) – The relationship between a quarterback and his center is vital, and CBS4 tracked down Peyton Manning's center from high school in New York.

When Richard O'Brien opens his 1992 high school yearbook he sees a 16-year-old version of the Denver Broncos quarterback.

"It's surreal, I mean, seeing anybody that you knew when you were a kid become famous at all, let alone somebody who every time you turn on the TV he's on there," O'Brien told CBS4.

Manning was a sophomore at Newman High School in New Orleans when O'Brien was a senior.

"I grew up in New Orleans, went to school with Cooper," said O'Brien.

O'Brien graduated with Peyton's older brother Cooper Manning.

The Broncos are playing the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
