Life Sentence For Lakewood Man In 2012 Stabbing Death
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — A Lakewood man who was convicted of stabbing Howard Adler to death in 2012 has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
A Jefferson County jury deliberated for just three hours to reach a unanimous verdict against Nate Vernon Fischer after a six-day trial. The sentence was handed down Thursday.
Wheat Ridge police say Adler was ambushed and stabbed 31 times in the back, shoulders, neck and head when he returned home from work at a restaurant.
