Convicted Man's Twin Brother Arrested On Same Charges In Alabama

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The twin brother of a former Fort Carson soldier who was convicted of sexual assault on a child has been arrested, also accused of sexual assault on a child in a  bizarre case the has pit the brothers against each other.

Aaron Gregory Lucas, 32, was arrested a few months ago, accused of sexual abuse in three states, including Colorado. He was a first lieutenant stationed at Fort Carson.

Aaron Lucas blamed the sex assaults on his twin brother, Brian Lucas.

In November Aaron Lucas pleaded guilty to sexual assaults that occurred in Colorado Springs and Fountain. The case was a challenge for police because there was the obvious question if Lucas and his brother were indeed identical twins. If so it would have been hard to get accurate DNA testing results. November's guilty plea made that a moot point.

On Sunday Brian Lucas was arrested in Huntsville, Ala., for sexual abuse. The charges include two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. It's not clear if he's being charged for the same assaults as his brother or if the charges come from a separate incident, but the charges were the same for Aaron Lucas in Alabama.
