Colorado Army National Guard Recruiter Charged With Theft

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- A Colorado Army National Guard recruiter has been charged with theft.

Christopher Thomas Clark has been charged with one count of theft for fraudulently receiving $28,000 in referral bonuses for recruits.

Clark, 25, is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 18 for an advisement. He is free on $10,000 bond.

"This investigation has the full support of the Colorado National Guard," said Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards, the Adjutant General of the Colorado National Guard.

"If the allegations are true, this behavior is unacceptable and inconsistent with or stewardship of taxpayer resources and the trust of the citizens we serve."
