VooDoo Doughnut Opens To Big Crowds

DENVER (CBS4)- Customers lined up to wait for hours outside the new location of a VooDoo Doughnut shop on East Colfax.

VooDoo Doughnut is known for its outrageous treats like donuts covered in maple syrup and bacon, Captain Crunch cereal or M&Ms.

"The doughnut they have with the Oreos on top and that vanilla icing," said one customer about the reason it's worth the wait.

Another customer said, "I've eaten all kinds of doughnuts but this hands down is the best doughnut I've ever had."

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock was also there to celebrate the grand opening.

VooDoo Doughnut is based in Portland, Ore. This is their first expansion location outside Oregon.
