Poudre School District Starts Fall Term With Half Days

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- The Poudre School District is taking a different approach to help students deal with a potential heat wave at the beginning of the fall term.

The first two weeks of the 2014-2015 school year will be half days.

Temperatures were so hot at the start of school in August 2013 that some classes had to be cancelled.

The school district will test the half-day plan to see how well it works before making a permanent change.
