DENVER (CBS4) – Cornerback Chris Harris Jr. was injured during action in the Broncos playoff game against the Chargers on Sunday and the team announced during the second half that he would not return.
Harris injured his knee and ankle, but the extent of his injury isn’t clear. It also was not announced exactly when the injury happened.
Chris Harris Jr. was guarding Chargers star receiver Keenan Allen during the first half and broke up a pass thrown to him on 3rd down and 12 in the first quarter.
After Harris left the game the Broncos defense slipped a bit in pass coverage, with Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers taking advantage of his absence and completing several passes to Allen.
