ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) – A skier is dead after apparently colliding with trees on Aspen Mountain.

Ski patrollers were alerted to a 911 call about a skier who had been found unconscious and tangled up in trees on Friday around 2:45 p.m.

Rescuers immediately began performing CPR on the unresponsive man.

Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
