Submarine Company Moving Into The Grand Valley
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - A company that builds nuclear submarines is buying an energy company with ties to Grand Junction.
Huntington Ingalls Industries is acquiring S.M. Stoller Corp. The company's 650 workers will now be a part of Huntington Ingalls engineer workforce.
Huntington Ingalls Industries designs, builds and maintains nuclear and non-nuclear ships for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard.
Stoller provides technical, environmental and waste management services to private companies and the U.S. government.
