2 Men Wanted For Attempted Murder In Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Police are searching for two men wanted for attempted murder in Colorado Springs.

Nearly a week after a woman was left for dead on Bijou Street in Colorado Springs, the car her accused attackers used to get away in was found.

Jorge Hernandez and Hamilton Sullivan are accused of beating the woman, shooting her in the head and dumping her on the side of the road.

"She was left there and they believed that she was dead and that's why the charge is first-degree attempted murder," Barbara Miller with Colorado Springs police said.

The victim's ca was found in Douglas County Friday after it had been set on fire.

The victim's friend, who didn't want to be identified, says the two men hit on the women while they were at a bar last Saturday. At the end of the night the friend dropped the victim off at her car and went home. She didn't learn about the attack until the next day.

The victim is still alive and was able to tell police who her alleged attackers are.

The motive behind the attack is still unclear but police say they need to find Hernandez and Sullivan before anyone else is hurt.

"With a situation like this, we always suspect that it's not the first time that they've hurt someone, and because it's so serious to shoot someone in the head, it's really important that we get them in to custody so that no one else can be harmed," Miller said.
