Bikers Ride To Remember Claire Davis

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) – Hundreds of bikers rode to remember and honor Claire Davis on Saturday.

The 17-year-old died after being shot by a classmate at Arapahoe High School in early December.

In about seven days Laurie Easton organized the event with the help from the Bikers Buzz.

The memorial ride asked riders to make a donation, all of which goes to charity in Claire's name.

"This is a donation only ride all the donations will be going to the Denver Foundation in the memory of Claire Davis," said Easton.

At noon the bikers started the roughly fifteen minute ride to Arapahoe High School.

There, the bikers released 300 balloons in Claire's memory to remember her as she was, and not her tragic ending.

"We want to make sure that everyday people are thinking of Claire and not glorifying this tragedy that happened," said Easton.
