State Trooper Released From Hospital After Crash During Traffic Stop

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– A Colorado state trooper injured in a crash during a traffic stop has been released from the hospital.

State Trooper Adeline Roybal was inside her patrol car during a stop along Interstate 70 in Adams County on Thursday evening when a van crashed into her vehicle.

That crash also slammed her vehicle into another patrol car.

Roybal suffered serious injuries. She has been released from the hospital to recover at home.

The driver and passenger in the van were also hospitalized.

Investigators said the van may have been going too fast in slick conditions.
