Thornton Hit & Run Suspect Turns Himself In

THORNTON (CBS4) – A person suspected of hitting a man and then driving off in a Home Depot parking lot has turned himself in.

The crash happened Sunday at the Home Depot store near East 104th Avenue and Grant Street. Police say a red Chevy Cavalier with black bumpers hit the victim’s car so hard it threw Robert Banka, 63, to the ground.

The suspect has been identified as Michael Guzman, 23, of Thornton.

At last report Banka was still hospitalized.
