Police Looking For Suspect In Attempted Rape

DENVER (CBS4) - Police have released a sketch of a man they say tried to rape a woman near Cheesman Park.

The suspect is described as 30 to 40 year old black male, 5-foot-10, 185 lbs, athletic build, shaved head with a close shaved goatee, wearing dark clothing.

The suspect approached the victim on Sunday at approximately 4 a.m.

The female victim was walking in the area of East 14th Avenue and North Vine Street.

The suspect made several unwanted sexual advances and then knocked the victim to the ground.

The suspect repeatedly punched the victim while attempting to remove her clothing.

He then physically assaulted the victim and then ran away.
