DENVER (CBS4) - Monday was moving day for the first private building that broke ground as part of the Union Station redevelopment project.

The $32 million project for IMA Financial Group is complete. It's located between 17th and 18th streets on Wynkoop Street.

IMA will be the main tenant, maintaining more than 200 jobs in the LoDo neighborhood, and they're all part of Union Station.

"This has been eight-years in the planning process and it seemed like a long time ago when we started project, but today is the culmination of all that hard work," IMA CEO Rob Cohen said. "This is the first step, and a big step for the development and project to actually have a tenant move in and be a part of Union Station."

The IMA Financial Group headquarters is also on track to get Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification for sustainable design.
