Deputies Think There May Be More Victims Of Alleged 'Doggie Door Bandit'
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has released the mug shot of a 20-year-old woman arrested in connection with a string of home robberies using pet doors.
Mackenzie Mavis has been charged with burglary and theft. Deputies think she's the person who may have crawled through doggie doors and into as many as a dozen homes in Douglas County.
A homeowner told authorities he heard Mavis leaving his house, chased her down and held her until deputies arrived and arrested her.
Mavis Remains in custody on a $50,000 bond.
