Thornton PD Announce Arrest Of Suspect In Crimes Against Elderly
THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Thornton have arrested a 25-year-old man they say violently targeted senior citizens in the metro area.
Damien Dahmer is believed to be responsible for at least three crimes.
In one case he allegedly stole a woman's car in Thornton at Redwood Estates off Pecos Street and then dumped it in downtown Denver.
Investigators say he and a female companion got into senior citizens' homes by pretending their car broke down and asking to use the phone.
In one instance the suspects tied the victim's hands together with a phone cord.
So far there's no word on where police are with their attempt to locate and possibly arrest Dahmer's female companion.
