Broomfield Kid Who Beat Cancer Gets To Swim With Dolphins

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - Christmas came early for one very deserving little boy from Broomfield.

For the past 38 months 9-year-old Addison Kleinhans has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments to battle leukemia. The good news is that he's beat the cancer. He's also collected more than 12,085 Make-A-Wish letters from across the globe.

"Each year a kid, I usually bring in the letters, and a kid gets their wish; and every year the kid gets sent somewhere else, like last year it was actually Hawaii like my wish," Addison said.

After helping others from around the world, this year Addison got his wish to swim with dolphins in Hawaii. He and his family head out in February.
