DENVER (CBS4) - Anybody who wants to question Knowshon Moreno's passion for the game needs to look no further than Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moreno was an emotional roller coaster on Sunday. One minute the camera caught him tearing up during the national anthem and the next was army-crawling to signal a first down.

After the game CBS4's Tom Helmer asked Moreno why he was crying.

"Just being so blessed to play this game and being a part of this team," Moreno said. "Different things that go on throughout your life; and just emotion, you know. It always gets me, emotion always gets me. I just love this game so much and I guess it got the best of me again."

Moreno finished with 100 total yards playing on a badly bruised ankle in a game where the Chiefs seemed to have a dedicated effort to try to stop him.

"It never fails … the Chiefs are a great team and they played well again today," Moreno said. "They did some great things on defense, stopping us from moving the ball and moving the ball on offense as well."

It's safe to say he's done a 180 in the eyes of his coaches, teammates and fans.
