Suspect In Attempted Aurora Kidnapping Appears In Court
BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - A man accused of trying to kidnap an Aurora girl appeared in court for a hearing to determine whether he will stand trial.
Tuesday's hearing for John Snorsky started with a request from prosecutors to keep the name of the girl from being made public.
The 26-year-old parolee is accused of taking an 8-year-old girl from her bedroom last month but police say he didn't get far. They say the girl screamed and got away by pinching him and running away.
Snorsky had been on parole for a burglary conviction when investigators linked him to the attempted abduction using DNA evidence.
His lawyer didn't return a call seeking comment.
