Cal Poly Overwhelms Northern Colorado 42-14

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Chris Brown amassed 230 yards and scored three touchdowns as Cal Poly overwhelmed Northern Colorado 42-14 Saturday.

Brown, who threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns, also rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries and scored a rushing touchdown.

Kristaan Ivory, who went over the 1,000 yard mark for the season last week, had 85 yards rushing on 13 carries. He now has 1,113 rushing yards for the year.

Cal Poly (6-6, 5-3 Big Sky Conference) opened up a 21-0 lead in the second quarter as Brown hit Akaninyene Umoh on a 16-yard scoring strike, Umoh ran another in from the 3 and Brown passed to Austin Ablison for another score.

The Cal Poly defense stymied the Bears as Seth Lobato was intercepted 4 times. Cameron Ontko led the defenders with 17 tackles.

Lobato threw for 206 yards for Northern Colorado (1-11, 0-8), which lost its eleventh consecutive game.
