NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4) - A partnership between Bank of America and Habitat For Humanity helped a family move into a new home just in time for Thanksgiving.

The Saidis are a family of four that moved to America from Algeria three years ago. They are now moving from a crowded one-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom house in Northglenn.

"I got this house and it's the best life," said Samir Saidi.

The home was given to Habitat for Humanity by Bank of America as part of a commitment to donate 2,000 distressed properties across the United States.

"It represents the best of everything we do," Jodi Rolland with Bank of America said.

"This is going to help Habitat families as well as neighborhoods find stability," Heather Lafferty with Habitat for Humanity said.

The Saidis put in 200 hours of sweat equity, but with two jobs, Samir Saidi knows hard work. He is especially grateful for things like a garage.

"I don't need clean the snow at the 4 a.m. he said.

The Saidis dressed up to celebrate the moving day. They couldn't contain their excitement or their emotions.

"We love you. You are our family. You are the family now," Samir Saidi's wife Messaouda said.
