DENVER, Colo. (CBS4) – Police are searching for the driver of an SUV that crashed into another car sending it into a Denver home.

Police say a black Suburban slammed into another car, pushing it off the road and causing it to slam into the side of a house near the corner of Lowell Boulevard and 29th Avenue.

The mother and two children that live in the house weren’t harmed but the driver of the car that crashed into the home had to be rushed to the hospital.

The family says that the damage to the house is minimal compared to what could have happened.

Witnesses say the black Suburban ran a red light that the driver fled after the accident. Denver police believe that the Suburban was used in a robbery several days ago and they’re working to find the driver.

Police say the suspect in the accident is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s. Witnesses said that that the suspect may also be bald and have a large build.
