Hay Bales Catch Fire In Thornton

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters put out a hay fire burning in Thornton Saturday afternoon.

The fire began just after 4 p.m. in some hay bales. The barn and home on the property located on East 160th Avenue were not threatened.

About 350 bales of hay worth about $3,500 were lost in the fire.

Fire investigators said the fire was caused by a discarded cigarette.
