BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Two female students woke up over the weekend and found a man standing in their dorm room at the University of Colorado.

Authorities say a break in by a possibly drunk man happened at the co-ed dorm Smith Hall sometime between 1 and 5 a.m. Sunday. Police say they believe that man later returned to the dorm and entered the students' room inside. One of the students said a man was standing over her and possibly masturbating.

"Really creepy. It's kind of worrisome when you live in the dorms and that can happen," said student Ally Wolf.

The woman's roommate screamed and the man quickly left.

Since August, this is the third sex related crime reported to campus police.

"But this one is definitely the scariest one of all," said student Morgan Stefanacci.

It is unknown if the door to the student's room was locked. Students need a security card to get into the building. It's not clear how the man got in.

Campus police encourage students not to let strangers follow them in.

"They say piggyback. So if we go into our dorm make sure no one else is following in and keep our doors locked and windows closed at night," said Stefanacci.

The suspect is described as a tall, skinny, college-aged white male wearing a bright blue shirt.
