Speed, Alcohol Possible Factors In Crash That Injured 5
DENVER (CBS4) - Five people were hurt, two critically, after a crash near 30th Avenue and Elm Street.
The crash happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday. Crews worked frantically to free people inside the car.
Police say the vehicle was speeding eastbound on 30th. The driver ran a stop sign, hit a bump, and then lost control, sending the car airborne into a tree.
"Five people transported, at least two of those have critical, life-threatening injuries. The driver is one of those," Sgt. Mike Farr with Denver police said. "So we are exploring speed as a factor in this crash tonight, perhaps alcohol."
Police are working to find out just how fast that car was travelling.
No names have been released.
