Suspicious Fires In Lakewood Officially Ruled Arson

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Suspicious fires in Lakewood including one that burned a row of cars has officially been ruled arson.

The group of separate fires happened within minutes of each other last month. Firefighters say it's all arson, possibly set by the same person.

On Oct. 22, 15 cars, one motorcycle and part of one building were destroyed in the fires. The total damage is estimated at $250,000.

Homeowners in the area say they're not surprised it's arson and they want to suspect off the streets.

"He could kill people and almost did, almost burned the buildings down, so it's very scary," victim Amy Dennison said.

West Metro Fire rescue says there were at least four different fire incidents in the area on Oct. 22nd. They are likely all connected. Anyone with information is asked to call Lakewood police.
