DENVER (CBS4) - The NFL has decided to move the Broncos game against AFC West rival Kansas City on Nov. 17 to Sunday Night Football.

The gametime at Sports Authority Field at Mile High had been scheduled for a kickoff of 2:05 p.m. Now it will be a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.

The Chiefs currently own the league's best record in the NFL with eight wins and no losses. The Broncos are tied with the Seahawks for the second best record in the league at 7-1.

The gametime change (and network change -- the game moves from CBS to NBC) was made through the league's "flexible scheduling" policy, which applies to Weeks 11-17. The league describes that policy as follows:

Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all NFL Sunday time slots in those weeks and gives teams a chance to play their way onto primetime and into the late-afternoon 4:25 PM ET time slot on CBS or FOX.

The Broncos meet the Chiefs again on Sunday, Dec. 1. That game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is scheduled to be on CBS.
