DENVER (CBS4) – A big donation was made to 12 volunteer fire departments in southeast Colorado on Wednesday.
Honeywell donated a $250,000 to the departments. Honeywell employees from around the world donated money and the company matched it.
Six of departments will get new personal protection equipment and six others will get cash.
The departments, such as Cascade and Calhan, are small departments on the front lines of wildfires.
The firefighters say they are humbled by the donations.
